Normal Programming has resumed…celebrations all round!

Hello to all.

After contemplating a change in direction for the blogs a few weeks ago I’ve decided to reinstate them again and see how they evolve. Blogger can be a cumbersome beast to create content with compared to some other media however it deserves some more opportunities going forward.

Let’s see what 2024 brings.

  1. Great to see your blogs back up - I regularly read both your blogs, in fact I check almost daily, but don't 'follow' as I have an aversion to signing up /logging in to stuff (still won't even watch iPlayer). I thoroughly enjoy reading about your wargaming but often feel my comments add little so sometimes think they're not worth adding. I had considered doing a blog myself but being a bit OCD worry that I would feel compelled to regularly post and it would become a chore... so I understand why you've had second thoughts. Don't be like me and just leave it until you feel like it - we can wait and the wait just makes it even nicer when something comes along.

  2. Onwards and upwards mate. I'm glad you are hanging in there with the blogging. I think the difference between we bloggers is that we create ongoing content which everyone can access, re-access (even ourselves) and search. Your blog is a great resource and source of inspiration to others. Happy 2024.

  4. I am happy to hear that you are going to keep blogging. I have you set to "follow" and so I get a notice on my blog feed that lets me know when the people I follow post something new. Your blog has been tremendously helpful in building my Sudan armies and I enjoy looking at all of the new pictures. I have been using Blogger since 2007 and find it relatively easy to use. It can get clunky at times, but they have made it easier to upload pictures into my blog.

  5. Great that you are carrying on. On fact, surely there should have been a Carry On up Khartoum film. Might need to make one using a Sands of Sudan game.
Good to have you back Carlo.

    2. The Mahdi has massacred Hicks Pasha's army in the deserts of Sudan! Khartoum will be next, Egypt is tottering and Suez is threatened. Can the government ignore the calls for action? What's to be done they ask? The Press and the great British public are in full accord! There is only one man who can be relied upon to set this right, and that man, fresh from his triumph in Kalabar, is Sir Sidney Ruff-Diamond!
